Chapter 45

• The next morning Ruth’s house was a mess, they were kicked out of their home with nothing the clothes they were wearing, while they were shouting and threatening the bank for taking their house they were given the letter showing them who owned the house and it was none other than Christian Chadwick. Ruth was shocked, so Christian knew she was there all along but he still left their house without searching for her. While she was still processing everything the police handcuffed her and read her rights.
• She couldn’t even resist the arrest, she was already tired of running but she was also feeling guilty because she put her own parents in a dire situation, they may all be homeless but at least she was going to prison. None of her relatives came to their rescue upon learning what they were going through. They didn’t want to piss Christian off, they were aware of how ruthless he could be and they decided to look the other way. At least they still had their small businesses.
• Christian didn’t even want their house so he gave it to Jake who was always renting posh apartments instead of buying a house even though he was wealthy. Victoria also hated everything about Ruth and didn’t want to have anything to do with their house, she was baffled at how sinister whole family was, hiding their daughter instead of disciplining her. She thought they enabling her and clearly it was their fault at how she turned out as an adult.
