Chapter 76 Snackies

• We pass the red-haired receptionist from when we first arrived. I can’t even remember her name, but I’m pleased when Gabe doesn’t look her way. My best friend is wearing a black tux with a dark blue dress shirt. His hair is a little messy and he’s got little diamonds in his ears. He blushes as Odis wraps his arm around his waist and I smile as I watch the two of them. Shane walks past us and holds the door open for everyone. He grabs my hand and kisses it before walking out with me. There a black shiny limo waiting outside and I turn to look at him. Shane shrugged, he didn’t have anything to do with this.
• “You didn’t think we’d all split up and go to the ball separately, did you?” Nikki asked. A smile spread across her face mischievously. “No, no, no. We’re a unit and we’re going to show up together. Get in bitches! Mommy’s not driving tonight!” She squealed. Mavy and I both burst into laughter and rush to get in. Shane’s hand quickly wraps around my waist to stop me. He pulls me flush against his chest and slides into the limo. I’m seated on his lap, his arms squeezing my waist, and he buries his head into the crook of my neck. Everyone piles into the limo and Nikki starts looking for something as I relax into my mate’s embrace. Something pops and liquid sloshes and I laugh as Nikki wiggles in her seat.
