Chapter 67 No Promises
- Shane’s words bounced around in my head. Odis left just before we finished eating and Gabe sighed heavily. A smile played on my lips as I watched my best friend miss his mate that hadn’t been gone more than ten minutes. Shane draped his arm on the back of the booth behind me. His fingers squeezed my shoulder and I was comforted by his need to touch me. I knew deep down that whatever had happened between Nikki and Shane was platonic and I would blame it on the wolf within me.
