• Adea snuggled against my chest, my arms around her was the only thing that was stopping from these walls closing in on me. My grip on her tightened as she slept slightly despite still being in the tub. My throat felt like a chain was wrapped tightly around it, tightening with every hour that passed. The countdown to the ball blared in my ears as my hands shook without my permission. The sun had set and although everything was going exactly as they always did, I couldn’t help but fall deeper into despair because of the tings that were different in this life. Never had she ever been mine. This had been the closest we’d ever been since the beginning.
