- I practically leapt out of my seat as the final bell rang. I grabbed my stuff, zipped up my bag, and threw it over my shoulder. I signaled for Devin to follow while I headed out. I shoved my stuff into my locker and he did the same. It was time he learned what belonged to me. I wouldn’t deal with him touching what was mine, but I valued his friendship. I wouldn’t kill him. He’d get one warning and I know that’s all it would take for him to fall in line. She had been on my mind all damn day, my whole damn life really. I couldn’t stop thinking about her brown eyes, or the softness of her lips. The memories of our past life together was a ghost of a reminder of how she tasted. It was there, just on the tip of my tongue. Sensing my frustration, Devin was cautious as he followed.
