Chapter 18 Anything

• I refused to answer her question because I knew that there was only one correct answer. I needed a dress and the two of them knew that. They watched me like wolves on the prowl and I was their prey. Nikki was not going to let this opportunity to play barbie with me slide by. She’s human, so she isn’t a threat, but she is the most stubborn one I know. Mavy and Nikki have known each other since they were kids and they are so similar I wonder if they’re the ones that are twins. We met short after I started coming to school and she welcomed me into their little group.
• One of our laws forbade us from telling humans about our kind, but Nikki was the only exception. It was hard to cover up with the amount of food we ate and the strength that we had compared to her. Alpha Joshua didn’t look too kindly on her, but could never tell Mavy no.
• “Whether you will admit it or not, you need a dress and I’m tagging along to help find you something spicy,” Nikki said as her hands slid down her hourglass frame. “And you can bet your pretty little nose that I’m doing your makeup.”
