Chapter 17 Doomed
- He leaned back in his seat. I’m not sure when Shane started having an interest in me, but I know it had to have been recent. I’m not sure why or what drew his attention, but I needed to figure a way to stop it. Whatever it is, I don’t know how to feel about the way he’s been looking at me.
- When I first moved into the packhouse, the three of us spent a lot of time together. Shane didn’t talk to me much back then either, but he still hung around, but we weren’t friends. Whenever I tried to talk to him, he would wait until it was just the two of us and then he would make it clear that we were not friends. All of this physical attention is making me confused.
- I was thankful that he was satisfied with my answer and didn’t try to speak to me again for the remainder of Calculus. When the bell rang, I was up on my feet and ran for the door. Beka waited outside the door and tripped me on my way out. My books went flying across the floor and she stepped over me as I reached for my books.
