Chapter 56

• When we arrived at Café Chai, we were immediately taken to a more private table and given the menus. After looking them over and deciding, we ordered our food.
• "I'm so hungry that I feel the bile from my stomach rising... I even feel nauseous," I say casually. Ian furrows his brow and I feel the vomit coming up.
• I quickly get up and rush to the ladies' room, then go straight into a stall and empty the contents of my stomach. Bile... damn gastritis. I've promised myself a thousand times to quit soda and sauces, but it's in vain. I always fall back into that vice.
