Chapter 23
- The song continues and I don't turn my gaze towards him. I remain absorbed, quietly singing the songs that are playing while observing the city where I live.
- The rain begins to fall leisurely with the passing time. As we make our way to my house through the city, night finds us. There is no doubt that time, music, and my emotions have come to an agreement. The night promises a sad evening.
- I immerse myself in self-pity and let it take me away. I close my eyes and imagine a different life. If I had had a father with us, maybe I would have one or more siblings. I always wanted to have siblings. To be able to study and work, of course. But without the need to struggle to pay for my education while also helping my mother with household expenses.
