• The dinner had consisted of stuffed chicken breasts with mashed potatoes and a sweet salad. It had been years since I had dinner on Christmas, something other than KFC chicken. For dessert, we bought a beautiful cake from "La PostrerÃa" and even though the decoration was gorgeous, we had to eat it. It was delicious. Everyone enjoyed it with wine, except for my cousins and me, who were served fruit punch.
• Once we finished eating, we moved to the living room, which had been transformed into a slumber party area. There were sleeping mats, blankets, pillows, and more desserts to eat. As we chatted, waiting for midnight to arrive, Ian remained seated next to me. The Christmas tree stood in the corner of the spacious room, adorned with all the gifts underneath.
