Chapter 10 Facing The Day

• Yuyu starts licking my fingers while in the distance I hear my mother shouting for me to wake up, that it's already late. I reluctantly get up because last night, or rather this morning in the early hours, I fell asleep at three o'clock, finishing up tasks and getting everything ready for today.
• My mother already has the suitcase packed and by the door. I see her making breakfast in the kitchen and a thought comes to me... I won't have delicious breakfasts before going to work anymore. At least not until my mother returns.
• I head to the bathroom and take a quick shower. I come out and put on some black leggings and the restaurant blouse, the one we only wear on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I dry my hair and put it up in a high bun.
