Chapter 55

• I would like to say that Ian and I slept, but it wasn't the case. We had to settle our accounts with each other, resolve misunderstandings, and of course, make new plans. My heart feels overflowing being by his side, wrapped in a sheet. He traces the outline of my body with his fingertips, lulling me to sleep.
• "Don't do it, I don't want to fall asleep," I warn. "I don't want to wake up and find you gone."
• He moves closer to me from behind, pressing his naked body against mine, wrapping me in his arms, and whispers in my ear.
