Chapter 112

  • Joziah's funeral was just around the corner, as was my parents' wedding. Henry still had the idea of not attending the funeral because he believed he wouldn't make it back in time for his ceremony. Despite it being something small and purely family-oriented, he insisted on not going.
  • Nevertheless, my mother, with a bit more common sense, forced him to go. They were supposed to arrive on the wedding day, but something inside me told me it wouldn't be that way.
  • After a couple of days, the three of them set off, Amelia, Henry, and Ian. The funeral would be on the twenty-eighth, so they would have enough time to return. On that day, my mother and I went to my medical appointment, and my aunt Rita accompanied us after finishing her newly started job. The three Herreras were very happy to see the progress of the baby and hopeful that they would tell me that I could walk normally by now.
