• When the first light of morning streamed through the curtains, Kaemon stood nervously outside Sienna’s apartment, his heart pounding. He raised a hand and rang the bell, his stomach knotting tighter with each passing second. The door swung open, and Pearl greeted him with a disappointed look, her arms crossed over her chest.
• “She’s in her room,” Pearl said, stepping aside to let him in.
• “Thank you,” Kaemon muttered hurriedly, rushing past her and heading straight for Sienna’s door.
