- Kaemon met Kian’s intense stare, knowing full well that a single slip-up would unravel their entire lie. There was something about Kian that got under his skin, something that reminded him of a past he was desperately trying to bury. It made him tick with annoyance, yet at the same time, Kaemon felt the need to keep himself in check. He sighed, taking a moment before speaking, knowing that this explanation had to be flawless.
- “It wasn’t love at first sight,” Kaemon began slowly, his voice softening, taking on a more reflective tone. “Far from it, actually. Sienna—” He paused, glancing at her beside him, then back at Kian. “She made me feel things I couldn’t understand. I hated it. I hated her for it.”
