Chapter 64

• Sienna stepped out of the car, smoothing the fabric of her dress as she glanced up at the building. Lights twinkled around the venue, and the sound of laughter and music drifted out through the open windows. She was buzzing with excitement. Jared had thrown the party to celebrate his engagement, and tonight was special. Not only was it a chance to meet Kaemon’s friends, but she couldn’t wait to congratulate Jared and his fiancée in person.
• Kaemon, on the other hand, wasn’t as enthusiastic. He could’ve easily skipped the event, but seeing how thrilled Sienna had been when they got the invitation made it impossible to say no. He stood beside her, watching the way her eyes lit up as they approached the door. He loved this side of her—giddy, excited, smiling like she didn’t have a care in the world. So, for her, he’d show up, even if parties weren’t his scene.
• Inside, the air was warm and filled with chatter. Sienna immediately spotted Jared near the bar, his arm slung around his fiancée, Emily grinning from ear to ear.
