Chapter 97

• That night at Serena's House…
• Serena sat in her sitting room, the only source of light emanating around the room was the light from the TV screen. The late hour had engulfed the house in silence; everyone else had slept leaving Serena with her late-night TV show.
• A sudden noise pierced the tranquillity of the night, disrupting the scripted drama playing out before her eyes on the TV. Serena's attention snapped away from the television towards the window, where the sound had originated. Walking towards the window and peering through the glass, she discovered that it was her trash bin that had toppled over, spilling its contents onto the ground below. Puzzled, Serena scanned the surrounding outside; there was no hint of inclement weather, no gust of wind to blame for the bin's tumble.
