Chapter 147

  • As Azalea and Serena finally made their way to the pack house, it was getting to evening already and the weather was as if it wanted to rain. Thank God no one was outside. Azalea carefully led Serena through the dimly lit entrance, making sure they remained unseen and unheard as they made their way through the shadows of the forest.
  • The sound of their footsteps was muffled by the soft ground as they cautiously approached the towering cave that served as the pack house. Every now and then, Azalea and Serena would freeze in place, hiding behind trees or blending into the darkness as they heard voices or sensed someone approaching. Only after making sure the coast was clear would they resume their journey towards Azalea's room.
  • Finally reaching her destination, Azalea pushed open the heavy wooden door and ushered Serena inside. The room was dimly lit by a few candles scattered around, casting a warm glow over the space. Serena's eyes widened in amazement as she took in her surroundings.
