Chapter 57

• Outside the cinema, a woman with a covered face sat hunched forward on a wooden stool with a worried expression. Her long black abaya enveloped her body, leaving only her dark eyes visible through the thin opening in her niqab as she conversed with another woman sitting beside her.
• "I miss him so much," the woman in niqab whispered. Her fingers clutched the phone tightly against her palm, desperation etched on her face as she stared at the screen displaying her boyfriend's name. She dialled his number again, hoping that this time he would pick up and calm her restless heart.
• The woman opposite watched her, concern etched on her face, but she remained quiet.
