Chapter 21

• I waited for a while, making sure that I didn’t hear any movements or sign of Alaric before slipping through the backdoor and over to the gate that no one still wasn’t tending to. I looked behind me, as I told myself that this time, I would make it out.
• As I ran blindly through the thick forest, my breath came out in shallow bursts, while my heart pounded in my chest.
• I didn’t care about this stupid bond, I just wanted a normal life, or whatever normal would be for me. I would rather to be back under that cellar again, it was hard, but I was happy.
