• Alpha Denver woke up to the sound of his alarm ringing loudly beside his bed, signalling the start of a new day. With bleary eyes, he fumbled for the snooze button, hoping for just a few more minutes of rest. But then, his phone rang, and he groggily reached for it, wondering who could be calling so early in the morning.
• As he answered the call, he heard the voice of David on the other end, telling him that there had been an emergency at work and that he was needed urgently. Denver felt his heart sink as he realised that his plans for the day were about to be upended.
• He reluctantly dragged himself out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom to freshen up. As he splashed cold water on his face, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment and frustration. He had been looking forward to taking things easy that day, maybe catching up on some reading or spending some time out.
