• Sarah was still standing nervously in her boss's office, her hands clasped together tightly. She took in a deep breath, gathering the courage to speak, when suddenly her phone buzzed in her hands, interrupting her train of thought. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw the familiar name flash across the screen – it was her mother calling.
• "Mum!" Sarah answered, a mix of relief and excitement flooding her voice. "It's so good to hear from you. How are you doing?"
• Her mother's voice came through, warm and filled with concern. "Oh, Sarah, it's always a delight to hear your voice. I'm doing alright, darling. Just taking care of things at home. How about you? Are you doing okay? Your father and I worry about you so much."
