Chapter 10

• The next morning… Camila was still in bed, feeling groggy and disoriented. Her head throbbed with a dull ache, and her muscles felt weak and unsteady. She knew she had overindulged at the Werewolf get-together last night, but she hadn't expected to feel this bad in the morning.
• As she lay there, trying to summon the energy to get up, she heard raised voices coming from somewhere outside her room. At first, she couldn't make out what they were saying, but as she listened more closely, she realized that it was Alpha Denver and another male Werewolf arguing.
• Curiosity got the better of her. Camila pulled off the covers and got out of bed. She felt unsteady on her feet, but she was determined to find out what was going on. She followed the sound of the voices, her bare feet padding softly against the cold stone floor.
