• Kai groaned as the sound of his alarm pierced through the stillness of his bedroom. He blinked his eyes open and glanced at the clock, his heart racing at the realisation that he had overslept. It was almost time for him to leave for work. With a groggy sigh, he swung his legs out of bed and rubbed at his eyes, trying to wake himself up.
• After showering and having dressed up for work, Just as he was about to rush out of his room, the door creaked open, and a familiar voice called out to him. "Kai, wait a moment!" Emily, whom he sees as his mother's sister, stood in the doorway, wearing a soft smile. Her warm brown eyes met Kai's, filled with concern and affection. "You can't leave without having breakfast, my dear."
