Chapter 30

• Camila woke up to a throbbing headache and a tight knot in her stomach. As her eyes adjusted to the dimly lit hotel room, she realized with dread that she was in bed with her boss, Adrian. Panic surged through her as she tried to piece together how she had ended up in this situation.
• The memories flooded back, fuzzy and disjointed, of the endless rounds of drinks at the party last night. Of Adrian's charming smile and easy laughter, and then the blurriness as they stumbled out of the bar together.
• Camila's mind raced with the possibilities of what might have happened between them in their drunken state. She tried to remember if they had kissed, or worse, if they had slept together but she couldn't remember anything.
