Chapter 99 Being Kidnapped

• I come to my senses and continue, “He killed many, especially the ones who used to give him a hard time when he was a child. No one could stop him then because he was the king, the real king who dominate the region. He ruined many human lives and werewolves which got all the humans determined for revenge.” Emelia interrupts me. “What about the werewolves? Did the werewolves revolt against him as well?” I shake my head. “Few people told me about how werewolves revenged at the time. I guess maybe because he did not kill too many werewolves or maybe werewolves were afraid of him because their wolves told them to obey. Anyway, only humans resisted.” Emelia lowers her head as if she is thinking about something important.
• I continue with my story. “They wanted to hurt my dad in some ways, so they decided to kidnap me, thinking that it would hurt him.” Emelia comes to her senses and shouts in surprise, “What? They kidnapped you? Humans kidnapped you?” I nod. “Yes. I was only a child and I was not strong enough to fight against them, so I was easily captured by humus.” Emelia stares at me worriedly. “Did your father try to save you?” I roll my eyes. “Of course not. My father did not care about me at all.” Actually, me being kidnapped is the real beginning of the story. But I was afraid that she could not understand the reasons for me hating humans, so I startedfrom the very beginning in case she will not understand why I was kidnapped. “And then, what happened?” I take the glass to drink some water and continue.
• “I was only five years old when I was kidnapped. They, a few humans, met me outside the palace. They were kind to me at first. I remembered that they even gave me human food to eat, such as chips and candy.” “ Chips?” Emelia repeats in surprise. “ Do you like chips?” I nod. “ I have not eaten chips before I met them. Chips were my favorite after they brought me a bag of chips.” Emelia nods thoughtfully as if she is thinking about something. “ Which flavor do you like best?” I am stunned. This is far from the topic we talked about. “ Maybe barbecue sauce.”
