Chapter 33 Emelia And Alger

  • As I walk in, I see Alger sitting on the chair beside the bed. He is staring at Emelia. Alger has a poker face. But at that time, I can tell some sorrow from his seemingly indifferent face. Emelia still looks dangerously pale, and she is covered up with a blanket. The pale white blanket only makes her look even more pale. I look around and see no doctors and nurses. “ Is she breathing?” I ask as I check the blood pressure. Alger stands up when he sees me. “The doctors said that she is going to be fine. She is breathing properly and her heart is beating now.” I nod. I know that she is alive and that is all that matters at the moment. I stare at Emelia for a while. “What did the doctors say about her?” Alger glances at Emelia and answers, “ The nurse said that she woke up an hour ago and she is just sleeping now.”
  • Why did not anyone tell me? I feel unhappy immediately. But later I realize that no one will expect that a werewolf master cares about a human slave is safety so much. I glance at Alger and he continues, “ The nurse said that she is still in pain, so we need to take good care of her.”
  • “ What happened at that time?” Alger is surprised when I suddenly change the topic, but he quickly organize the answer. “ At that time, I was coming back from outside. I do not usually go to the warehouse, but it happened to me that I wanted to find a little piece of wood to make a small toy. Punishing a human slave is very common. So I did not want to do anything at first.”
