Chapter 83 Real You

• I can feel the warmth of sunlight when I am still sleeping. This feeling is good. I noticed that my body is not as cold as yesterday. But I am not waken up by the sunlight, I am wake her up bye fingers. Some callused fingers are gently striking my cheek and it seems that they will not stop forever. I open my eyes patiently and see Cody grinning widely down at me. He seems really happy. He shouts passionately, “ Good morning.”
• I really want to yell at him. I am not happy at all. I want to say, “ Why did you wake me up? I am still sick.” But I dare not. One reason is that I am still a little afraid of him, while the other reason is that I do not want to break his happy smile. “ Anything special? You look happy.” I try to look as happy as Cody does. Cody smiles and replies, “ Your temperature is normal.” I am surprised. “ You are so happy just because my temperature is normal?” Cody nods. “ Of course. Why are you so surprised?” I open my mouth and say nothing. Of course I am surprised. I have never thought that someone can be so happy just because my temperature becomes normal.
• Cody is resting against the headboard. Now he drags my arms to help me sit up. I sit up and rest against the headboard with him. His happiness seems to rub off of me. I look around and see his maid Kara standing beside him. Cody takes a glass of water from Kara and hands it to me. “Drink some water. You must be thirsty.” After I drink the water, I hear someone knock on the door. “Come in.” Cody says.
