Chapter 109 Meeting My Parents

• As I am turning around, the door opens. Then I hear a gasp. I quickly turn around and see my dad who opened the door standing by the door looking at me. He smiles really widely as he realizes that I am really here. “Dad!” Knowing that my father is actually missing me, I yell as I run towards him and hug him hard. I cry as I relax into his arms feeling so happy. “My parents are still here. They have not moved away... They have not abandoned me...” I say to myself inside.
• I can tell that he has been staying up since there are black shadows under his eyes. I do not know whether the shadows are because of me because when I was at home, he used to stay up as well. We pull apart after a while and I walk inside. I did not invite Cody to come in not because I do not welcome him but because he said that I had to be as quick as I could when I was meeting my parents and some time later, he would come and get me back.
• I walk into the house following my father and see my mother sitting there in the kitchen. She looks as usual, wearing bright colored dress. I wonder if she misses me. But when she notices me, she rushes towards me and I notice that she is also missing me from her tearful eyes. My tears run down my face unconsciously as I hug her. She holds my face and gasps in shock. “Oh my God. Emelia, is it really you?” She pulls me into a hug again and again and cries out. “Yes, mom. It is really me. I am actually here.” I hug her back tightly before letting her go and sit down beside both of my parents.
