Chapter 29 Family Is Family

• It is said that when one door closes, another one opens, and that's exactly what happened in my life in the following days. A couple of doors opened that truly surprised me because I honestly wasn't expecting it.
• The idea of leaving my job and finding another one far away from Brandon quickly vanished when my boss informed me that I was going to receive a raise and a promotion. Just like that, out of nowhere, they even planned to hire a junior to assist me.
• The extra money came in handy for paying off my debts and even saving a little. I no longer had to struggle every day to make ends meet and buy what I needed, let alone treat myself to any rewards or indulgences, which used to be nonexistent.
