Chapter 19 Aspen

  • The days improved and Brandon greeted me, he was cordial and I must say that the atmosphere had calmed down substantially. He no longer made suggestions to go out or approached me in any way other than professionally, so I was truly happy. I saw him more often now, mostly in relation to Annie's wedding and less in the office. I think he really had a lot of work to do and had forgotten about his obsession with this small department that included a designer he used to know.
  • It must be fate, but I believed I deserved this trip to Aspen. Many things had happened in Atlanta, especially for me to stand out, and I felt that I had succeeded. I never imagined that we would travel because of a client, let alone to a place like this, but I was truly excited, so much so that I tried to hide my smile. Me! Adelaida! Traveling to Aspen for work!
  • In a few days, we were in Aspen, and since we arrived at the airport, I was impressed. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life, and it's no wonder people pay a lot to be here. It felt special, with a lot of skiing, enjoying the snow, ice skating, and experiencing everything in the snow and mountains. Of course, the cold was terrifying, but I had come prepared as best as I could.
