Chapter 17 Saved
- If there's one thing I have to give Brandon credit for, it's that he at least listened to my requests. The days passed and his communication with me was strictly related to work, and even that decreased in intensity. We had some meetings, he made general comments, some requests, but nothing more... He was like a ghost, me, and he pretended not to see me so people wouldn't think he's crazy.
- Wasn't that what I wanted? I had really asked for it and magically, this time he had actually listened to me, finally. I was calm, not super happy, but calm. My life returned to normal, my heart calmed down, my world spun its heavy, boring, relaxed turns without many expectations.
- I had told my friends that I had kissed Brandon and we all had some theories: maybe he wanted to try being with someone familiar, or he wanted to make up for his mistakes with me. Despite Billy hating his cousin, even he believed that Brandon didn't want to harm me, he was just in his own world, thinking he was doing the right thing by trying to help me. Sometimes I wondered if he was aware of what he did, if he even remembered those moments at school.
