Chapter 86 Idiot
- 10 minutes later, Emilia stood at the door to Queenie’s office. “Did you ask for me, Miss Hayworth?” She had no liking for Queenie since she had heard stories of the latter’s relationship with Christopher shortly after she started working at the company. Furthermore, this woman had her nose in the air all the time and held everyone cheap; it was simply too displeasing of her to enjoy everyone else’s flattery in the company by parading her relationship with Christopher.
- She walked inside directly, but Queenie suddenly darted a look at the door. “Shouldn’t you knock on the door before coming in?”
- Emilia’s brows furrowed as she looked back at the wide-open door. Judging by the look on this woman’s face, she must be deliberately picking on me. I even paused at the door for a moment before speaking; it can already be considered a greeting, so why must I knock on the door? Hmph, look at how resentful she looks. She must have come across something upsetting, she thought to herself. She then asked immediately, “I already greeted you just now, Miss Hayworth. Besides, you aren’t doing anything confidential, so why must I knock on the door?” Most young ladies these days were bad-tempered, and it was too much to hope for them to eat humble pie.
