Chapter 478 Jealous

• At Christopher's insistence, Diane ended up staying in his office. He told her to stay and keep him company, but he was really busy while she had nothing to do, so she ended up taking a nice nap in his office. He had just completed all his work when she woke up. After getting changed and leaving the company, he didn't seem like he was in a rush to head to the charity dinner. Instead, he brought Diane to a restaurant.
• "These charity dinners have a lot of rules, their food is bad, and the event can last really long. I figured that it'd be best if you don't go on an empty stomach," he told her. She was more than happy to have a meal, but because of a slight delay at the restaurant, they ended up being late for the charity dinner. The hall was already filled with guests even though the events of the night had yet to officially begin. Many of the guests were gathered in groups of three or more while they chit-chatted with one another.
• The moment Christopher walked in, he became the main focus. Everyone turned to look at him, and a few people who knew him walked up to him to greet him. Soon enough, he was surrounded by a bunch of people. Diane wasn't a huge fan of having small talk with these people, so she only responded with a few short statements before she walked away from Christopher and the crowd.
