Chapter 376 Old Mr. Jensen
- Diane wanted to thank Wilcox when she saw him, but she figured that a simple thank you wouldn’t be enough and that it was more important for Noah to receive treatment first. So, she simply pressed her lips together and gazed at Wilcox awkwardly without saying anything. She then lowered her head before following the doctor into the ward. After everything had been settled, the nurses fed Noah some medication before giving him a fever-cooling patch. The nurses fussed over the child for nearly thirty minutes before the child finally went to sleep. Diane heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing this.
- She knew that Wilcox was still waiting outside, so she got the nanny to watch over the baby before she excused herself and left the room. Both Jack and Wilcox were waiting outside the ward. “Thank you for today, President Jensen.” Diane was sincerely grateful to the man, but she was also puzzled by the reason he had shown up at the hospital. Even though she didn’t speak her mind, there was a question that had been in her head for a while now. Who exactly is Wilcox? she wondered. Wilcox could tell what she was thinking about.
- “There’s no need to thank me. I just offered some help since I happened to be here. My father’s staying upstairs in the same building, and I came over after work. I happened to see you running to the emergency ward with your son in your arms, so I thought…” He paused for a moment before giving her a warm smile. “The pediatric ward is always full, so I figured you’d appreciate some help, especially since you looked like you were in a rush,” Wilcox said in a really natural tone, and he didn’t seem to harbor any resentment from their previous interactions.
