Chapter 209 Companion
- As Diane was sleeping on the couch face down, she was frightened awake by the loud rumbling of the thunder. Opening her eyes, all she could see was darkness. However, she recalled that she didn’t turn the lights off before she slept. Why are the lights out?
- As she was thinking, she didn’t realize the rain got heavier. At this moment, the rain was already pouring. Sitting upright, she looked out the window as lightning flashed across the sky. Out of instinct, she covered both her ears as she watched the view outside the window turn back to darkness. Though she was an adult, she was still scared of thunder––especially the ones that sounded so loud that it’d shake her up. Hence, she would cover her ears whenever she saw lightning.
- As time passed, this action of hers already turned into a habit. Although she thought that she might seem a little melodramatic, she still couldn’t change that habit of hers.
