Chapter 262 Don't Stop
- Christopher already had his laptop turned on by the time Diane went into the study—he was trying to look as if he was busy with work. This wasn't how Christopher acted in the past. Even though there were times when he had to deal with work at night, he wouldn't head to the study and bury himself in work the moment he got home. His behavior that day was clearly abnormal.
- It was the start of summer, which meant longer hours of sunlight in a day. The whole room was basked in the golden rays of sunlight that projected themselves through the windows. Despite the warm weather outside, Diane felt a chilly sensation spreading across her body the moment she walked into the room. It was almost as if the man had a built-in air-conditioner—the places he inhabited would naturally turn into an igloo the moment he was in a bad mood.
- Diane held the tray with both hands as she carefully approached the man while criticizing herself for being useless. I can't believe I still get scared of him after I've spent so much time with him. This guy must have been my nemesis in another life. "Here's the tea you asked for," she uttered while placing the tray on the table. She took the teacup off the tray and put it down beside Christopher's hand.
