Chapter 99 Are You Chasing Me Away?

• Diane was already flustered in the first place with how Christopher had been feeding her just now, so she was even more startled when Queenie suddenly popped up at this moment. As a result, the mouthful of mushy noodles that she had just eaten slid down and choked her windpipe. As Diane’s face turned crimson, she coughed so hard that she spat the noodles in her mouth onto the coffee table, creating a huge mess.
• Christopher turned his face to Queenie at first, but he was startled by the cough. When he turned his face back to Diane, he frowned immediately. “Be careful. Why are you getting so flustered?” he chided in a low voice while raising his hand to pat Diane on the back. After she got her breath back a little, he got up and went to his desk to bring his own glass of water over. “Drink some water.” With that, he held the glass up to her lips.
• Diane glanced at him in embarrassment before she hesitantly took the glass of water and sipped at it. After swallowing a mouthful of water, she got her breath back and finally felt much more comfortable. “I’m sorry. I-I’ll clean it up.”
