Chapter 316 A Coincidental Meeting
- Two days later, Diane and Maureen went to the hotel designated on the invitation. Maureen wore a standard evening dress, which was black with an off-shoulder, and held a small handbag. Although it wasn't anything expensive, she was considered well-dressed enough after dressing up. When Maureen saw that Diane didn't even wear a dress and came in casual clothes, she couldn't help but protest, "Diane, why didn't you change your clothes?"
- Maureen took Diane's arm and looked at her up and down, appearing disgusted.
- Diane looked down at her clothes and replied, "I'm afraid of the cold; I can't stand wearing the kind of dress you have on. I'm not looking for a boyfriend either, so I don't need to look so good."
