Chapter 373 Small World
- Ever since Christopher threw the divorce papers in Diane's face and left, the condominium felt a lot quieter than before. In the past, Amy would show up every now and then to check on them, even when Christopher wasn't around. She used to bring some food or supplies over, but she no longer did that after the divorce. Now, it was just Diane, her child, and the child's nanny.
- The condominium wasn't huge, and it felt like a perfect size for four people. Yet, for some reason, Diane felt as if the whole house was really cold and empty. Summer had arrived, yet the house felt so cold to Diane that she had to resist the urge to move out immediately. Every piece of furniture around her seemed to carry some coldness in it, and just the sight of these items seemed to generate an icy sensation in her chest. Diane wanted to leave—she wanted to move away to find a place that would allow her to avoid all these memories she had shared with Christopher in the past.
- However, moving wasn't an easy task, and she had more to consider since her child was still young. So, she eventually gave up on the thought—she figured that she would have to wait and do it some other time in the future. After staying at home for two days, she finally had to leave the house on the third day because Noah had to go get his vaccination shot. That morning, Diane and the nanny brought Noah over to the women's and children's clinic. There were a lot of kids who were queuing up to get their jabs on the same day, and the corridor was filled with families who were waiting. Diane arrived at 9.00AM, but they had to wait for more than two hours before Noah finally got his jab.
