Chapter 64 Not How She Thought It Was
- It was their second day in Australia. Perhaps because Diane had too much to drink last night, or maybe it was because Christopher had been dragging her around, she slept so soundly that she didn’t wake up until late morning. It was almost ten o’clock when she checked the time, which nearly caused her to have a nervous breakdown. She overslept even though the contract had yet to be settled.
- “Shoot!” As soon as she saw the time, she shot up from bed, but instantly, an arm pressed itself on her waist all of a sudden before she could get out of bed. “I haven’t gotten enough sleep yet. Be quiet.”
- The realization that she had someone else beside her jostled her awake. For an instant, all she had in mind was the contract, so she couldn’t even recall who was in bed with her. When she turned to check on Christopher, she furrowed her brows. As she shouted out loud, she shoved him. “Why are you still sleeping? Get off me! I’m running late!” After that, she cast his arm away, only to have him pin her down by her waist again.
