• The man behind her had not fallen asleep but had just remained silent. Diane could feel his strong embrace and warm breath lingering at her neck. She had not received a response from him even after waiting for a long while. However, she could hear his breathing getting shallower. Looks like he fell asleep.
• The room turned quiet once again and Diane dozed off before she even knew it. She slept deeply throughout the second half of the night and woke up when it was about 10 in the morning. To her surprise, Christopher was still around. He had already gotten out of bed and was sitting on the couch in the living room watching financial news.
