Chapter 226 An Operation

• As the night got darker, Christopher sat by the bed throughout the first half of the night. He couldn’t fall asleep and had no intentions to because he was worried. He was worried that Diane would wake up all of a sudden, so he wanted to stay by her side at all times.
• Around 4 in the morning, his energy was completely depleted, so he dozed off while sitting beside the bed.
• The next morning when the sun had risen, Christopher stood up and stretched his legs, which were already numb from the many hours of sitting. He stood by the window for a while and turned around to look at Diane, who was still lying on the bed motionlessly, before going to the washroom.
