Chapter 156 Divorce
- “I’m saying that…” Diane spoke with emphasis while fixing her eyes on Christopher. “We should get a divorce. I don’t want to be together with you anymore.” Since she was a burden and didn’t belong to the same world as him in the first place, why should they force themselves to stay together?
- When she finished her sentence, the man above her head didn’t speak for a long time. His face grew increasingly dark, and their surroundings were so quiet that she could hear his powerful heartbeat. She pressed her lips together and struggled to get down, but the man’s arms tightened around her.
- “Are you divorcing me just because of some bullsh*t said by someone else?” Christopher wasn’t surprised to hear this since Diane used to bring this up multiple times every day, but these words sounded so unpleasant to his ear right now. Not only that, Diane had been very well-behaved these days; she stayed by his side like a tame kitten without ever mentioning such bullsh*t. He thought she had figured it out or at least accepted it, but he didn’t expect everything to go back to square one overnight. “You’ve never loved me, have you, Diane?” he asked between clenched teeth. If she really loved him, she wouldn’t have been so easily manipulated.
