- “Hey!” Denzel let out a cry of protest. He glanced at his hand then glared at Christopher resentfully. However, the latter paid him no attention, and instead picked up the documents Amy had delivered, thereafter flipping through the pages with keen interest.
- “You’re oddly defensive. Just what are you looking at anyway?” Denzel asked curiously as he rubbed the back of his hand, his gaze fixed on the documents as the other man browsed through the contents.
- Minutes had barely passed when Christopher closed the folder with a loud, decisive snap and picked up the office phone on his desk. “Amy, why did Human Resources give Emilia Cornell an excellent review for her performance this month when she barely did anything at all? Tell them that if they want to keep their jobs, then they’d better revise her grading and withdraw any bonus payable to her. Also, get rid of her if she continues to under-perform next month.”
