• Lily's heart sank into her stomach, and her eyes seemed to go blurry as the room and everyone in it seemed to spin. The taste in her mouth turned sour and she found it incredibly hard to swallow as she processed what she just heard while completely forgetting about the fact that she came here in the first place to thank him for saving her life.
• "You are going to propose to me?" Charlotte was the first to break out of the shock, and walked into the room. Her feelings were a mixture of shock, disbelief, and ecstasy. She expected a lot of things from Asher, she even suspected him but a marriage proposal was the last thing she expected.
• Asher swallowed and made sure to keep a pleasant look on his face as he made eye contact with Charlotte. "Yeah, you have birthed my child, it is only right for us to officially become family. I don't want my child being raised in a broken home."
