• "Are you sure you want to go?" Elle asked as they walked into the airport, reluctant to let her daughter go a week after the other one ran away and disconnected her line.
• Lily smiled, tight-lipped, before she pulled her mum into a hug. "I'm going to call and text you regularly. I'll also keep an eye out for Charlotte, I'm sure she's just grieving because of the turn of events." She placed a kiss on Elle's cheek and moved away.
• "I'll miss you, Lily. It's sad we didn't get to spend much time before you leave."
