Chapter 97 Battle Of Leadership
- He’s started, I clenched my teeth and raced back to the surface to find everywhere in disarray. He’d taken out the scouts, stealthily and launched a surprise attack, catching everyone off-guard. I wonder how he gathered an army so fast, but I didn’t have much time to dwell on the thought before a wolf came charging up to me. I didn’t need to transform before I disposed of him. All I did was grab a spear from one of the guards of the dungeon and bury it in the belly of the charging wolf. It fell to the floor, writhing with pain, but I didn’t spare it a second glance. I needed to find Kai. He would be Jason’s target, and if he takes down Kai, then I could very well forfeit my life. Jason would never spare me, even if Brenda were here to plead my case.
- Kai, I yelled. He was attacked by two wolves, and he was trying to hold them off in his human form. The wolves pinned him against the wall, preventing him from turning. I quickly thrust myself on one of them and snapped his back limbs. It limped off in fear, while Kai easily disposed of the second wolf.
- "Jason has escaped," I said.
