• After Minnie left, I freshened up. My meal was brought to me and I savored it. Then I sat on my damn seat and just stared at blank air.

With Brenda gone, one of the white brothers is severely ill because of the injury he sustained during the massacre, and another of the white brothers is on a journey with Brenda.
