Chapter 11 Shadows Of The Past
- “I’m surprised you remember this much,” Aariv said as we stood outside his front door. “I don’t remember this much.”
- “Why do I remember this much?” I asked him. It struck me as weird that ever since the incident, I had never fully remembered what had happened. It took me years and years on end of pondering, brooding, and reminiscing to finally get to the point I had gotten to. Still, I had not remembered what happened between the space of my father putting a hand in his pocket and me waking up the next morning. “Why did I not remember in the first place?”
- “I don’t know,” Aariv said.
